Formini is ontwikkeld om gedurende een project steeds opnieuw te worden gebruikt.
De toolkit sluit aan op bestaande ontwerp- en presentatiemethoden en voegt een tastbare laag toe aan het ontwerpproces.
De schaalmodellen worden geproduceerd uit een bioplastic dat deels is gemaakt van olifantsgras, een hernieuwbare plantaardige grondstof. Het materiaal wordt in Nederland geproduceerd en ook de Formini-modellen worden in Nederland ontworpen en gemaakt.
Dit verlaagt de milieubelasting zonder concessies te doen aan precisie of duurzaamheid.
